ECO-FRIENDLY

ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY

Our plant is located at the foot of Dolomites, Unesco World Heritage site. We are surrounded by mountains, woods, green, lakes and rivers. Environment is part of our alpine DNA. We take care not to damage what’s around us, whose preservation is of high importance to all, for us and for our children. Therefore, we have integrated several eco-sustainable solutions to reduce our environmental impact:

 

 

SEPARATE COLLECTION OF WASTE

  • 42% recycled
    • PAPER (from offices, packaging materials, warehouse materials)
    • NYLON (from packages)
    • PLASTIC (from primary packaging, waste, drums…)
    • IRON/ALLUMINIUM/INOX (from machinery, shelving…)
  • 34% energy recovery
    other waste (from production waste and laboratory waste-water) are delivered to waste-to-energy-plants
  • 24% not recycled

 

 

We deliver all the separate waste to qualified companies which grant the recycling chain.

Besides,

  • We have replaced our plastic dishes with ceramic ones in our canteen
  • We have removed plastic water bottles in favour of water dispenser

these little tricks lead us to drastically reduce the plastic disposal from 135 m3/year to 1 m3/year.

 

  • SEPARATION AND DISPOSAL OF HAZARDOUS WASTE

We collect, separate and dispose hazardous waste (from labs, contamination, filtration)

  • MONITORING AND REDUCTION OF AIR EMISSIONS

Air emissions coming from production area, as well as the water vapor, are continuosly controlled and authorized by qualified institution (such as APPA in our region): they are widely below the limit

According to our technology platforms, we use WATER AS GRANULATING AGENT in our manufacturing process, and not solvent or alcohol, therefore there are NO chemical substances emission in atmosphere

  • WASTEWATER COLLECTION

Liquid waste coming from production area is collected and not discharged to local waste water collection system

  • WASTEWATER MINIMIZED

Waste water is controlled thanks to the insertion of water meters which prevents unnecessary waste of water

  • NOISE ZONING

We monitor continuously the frequencies and levels of noises coming from the industrial plant

And the acoustic zoning is well below the limit

 

 

  • RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES

Our site is powered by RENEWABLE SOURCES of energy (“Green Certificate”).

 

 

Everything we do, procedures, solutions, actions are constantly monitored by internal controls and by audit to our service provider.

We commit ourselves to do even more, day by day.
